How big can a tennis scholarship be?

Depending on the division and program, anywhere from a partial scholarship to 100% — covering tuition, housing and meals. What matters most is your UTR, your age and how early you start the process. In your free intro call, we’ll give you an honest range.

What UTR do I need?

It varies a lot by division and league. For men, it starts at a UTR of roughly 6; for women, a bit lower. But often more important than today’s number is how your UTR is trending. If it keeps climbing, it shows coaches you still have room to grow — and that can make all the difference.

Why run your own tournaments and Showcases?

Your UTR is one of the most important numbers in the entire recruiting process, and we want to push it as high as possible. But there are only a few UTR tournaments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. That’s why we run our own: the College Tennis Zick Open.

We also want you to meet your future coach in person before you sign. At our Showcases, you play right in front of US college coaches, get to talk with them and improve your UTR at the same time.

What about grades, TOEFL and SAT?

Academics are part of the package: we check early on what your target colleges require and schedule TOEFL/Duolingo and, if needed, the SAT in good time. Good grades can boost your scholarship even further (academic money).

How much does your support cost?

The price depends on the package you choose. Every player brings different goals and a different starting point, so we tailor our support to you. Just send us a message. In a no-obligation call, we get to know you and figure out together which package fits you best.

Did you all really play college tennis yourselves?

Yes — every advisor on our team played college tennis, from NCAA D1 to NAIA. We know recruiting, homesickness, team life and finals season firsthand. That’s exactly why we do this.

Which LK (German rating) do I need for which college?

There’s no fixed minimum LK. Depending on the league, college tennis is possible from LK 1 to about LK 17. US coaches look mainly at your UTR; your age, grades, potential and fit with the team count too. We’re happy to analyze your profile and show you which colleges fit you.

When should I start the recruiting process?

Ideally 18 to 24 months before you plan to start college — the earlier we start, the more we can achieve together. You have more time to raise your UTR and to prepare, athletically and mentally, for the move to the US. We can also get your name in front of coaches in time. That way, you don’t end up at just any college, but at the one that truly fits you.

How does the visa work?

Once you commit, the college issues your Form I-20. With it, you apply for the F-1 student visa: fill out the DS-160, pay the SEVIS fee, book an appointment at the US embassy or consulate. We guide every step and check your documents — plan on about 4–6 weeks from the I-20 to the visa in your passport.
